User-Centered and Nostalgic Design as Assets for Crafting Culturally Diverse and Inclusive Video Games
This Twine project was submitted as my applied research project to the Master of Arts in English program at Western Illinois University in Spring 2024. This project is what I like to call a miniature multimodal thesis, as it presents a traditionally written academic research article in a digital format that makes strategic use of images, videos, and hyperlinks.
The project arose from my passion for video games, culture, representation, and user-centered design and intends to help video game designers reframe their thinking and approach to the making of diverse and inclusive video games.
Above, you can access the project directly from your browser. Thank you for reading, and happy playing!
